Meet 2 year old Bonnie, affectionately nicknamed `Mama` after letting her kind and gentle motherly instincts shine through after 4 days of freedom. Mama is learning basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is exceptional with other dogs. She is still learning to trust new humans, but obviously enjoys and longs for human and canine interaction. Mama is overcoming a long-term pregnancy abortion and needs an owner who understands the changing hormones of a recently spayed mother dog.
We are seeking a forever home for Mama with an experienced pit bull owner who is patient and understands the demeanor of a rescue dog. Mama will do best in a home where she is showered with patience and attention, and allowed to slowly come out of her shell and adjust to the new routines of her forever home.
Ideally Mama`s forever home does not have cats at this point, and has an owner who will be able to spent a maximum amount of time getting to know Mama`s tender personality.
