Meet Suzie, also known as Chicken Wing! Suzie is a senior Chihuahua weighing 7 pounds, and her journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Found as a stray with a severe wound on her neck, Suzie's fate took a turn for the better when Mutts N Such stepped in to provide her with the care she desperately needed. During surgery to treat her neck wound, veterinarians made a shocking discovery – a full, intact wishbone lodged in Suzie's throat. Despite the odds stacked against her and weighing only 4 pounds at the time, Suzie's resilience shone through, and she underwent the necessary procedures to remove the wishbone and ensure her survival. After recovering from her surgeries and receiving much-needed dental care, Suzie is now a picture of health and happiness. Her transformation from a frail stray to a vibrant, loving companion is truly inspiring. Despite her challenging past, Suzie harbors no ill will and remains friendly and affectionate towards everyone she meets. Suzie's sociable nature extends to other animals as well – she gets along well with dogs of all sizes and is even comfortable in the company of cats. Plus, Suzie is fully potty trained and will happily use pee pads indoors, making her an ideal addition to any household. If you're in search of a loyal and loving lap dog, look no further than Suzie. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS AND COLORADO. BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. Each of our dogs are located in foster homes. They are located in one of our two locations: Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, a heartworm test if over 6 months old, and health certificate.
